WHY I WRITE?. A DIFFERENT KIND OF ACADEMIC TEXT.

The most common knowledge people have about academic texts are the essays and that’s a very strong idea Spanish readers and writers at the university have, because of this conception that in order to convince we just have this strict model of essays and it’s common to recognize essays as the most frequent and better known example of academic text.

Let’s think in the complex art of writing and we will end up by realize that maybe in the complexity of academic text we won’t just find strict build essays but a large variety of texts which objectives are to convince readers. Even if I don’t have this wide knowledge about academic writing, I would say that WHAT I WRITE? Wrote by George Orwell can be an academic text but presented in a different way not very familiar to me.

This text makes me think about the complexity of writing academic texts, because at least for me, it breaks down the walls of academic writing I had and suggests to reconsider this vague idea of academic text.
