Writing is the means through which speech can be transmitted and preserved.
It is known that from the beginning, since human started to talk and create a code to preserve knowledge, tradition to communicate has existed. The fact that there is something to be told is a very important aspect of our human culture, from this, every culture in the world has an identity, that identity is made by the oral tradition and makes it unique.
I am agree with the fact that writing helps to preserve and, in some way, to transmit the speeching, but there is a notorious element that writing cannot record when speech is doing, is the way on how the things are told. Of course, there are several way in order to transmit speech feelings, for example scripts in the case of theather, in which dialogues are expressed along some indications of how the actor must act in order to bring the character to life.
I feel that writing is an important statement to record speech, maybe for formalities, but specially to preserve memory, the history and culture, this is the most important. By the other side, is important to preserve the tradition of speech; remember when our parents and grandparents told us stories, some experiences they had that in certain way are important for our lives.
I think we had to preserve oral tradition, and the writing is a good tool to preserve what is said, but is our responsibility, with our experience, that we must preserve the way of telling; the culture.
