Second, in some parts of the text the author uses technical vocabulary related to the writing and reading process.
Finally the author tries to convince the readers through his arguments why he writes and that is one of the goal of the academic text, to convince people of doing or thinking something with good arguments such the ones that he gives in the text.

ReplyDeleteWell, there are somethings u should work on, especially on the structure of ur text and the arguments u r giving.
First, I think that u should change the tittle, it sounds repetitive using "why" twice, u could use a question for ur tittle: "why I write" by.... is an academic text?.
Second, u didn't give an introduction to ur text: u can say what's the text abt, the insteresting parts on it, etc.
I see u are not thinking in ur reader. Think abt someone that doesn't know something abt the text, and wants to find out info. to decide if reading it or not.
In the first paragraph: u should take parts of the text to explain and show your reader why u consider the text has an academic text structure. The same happens with the technical vocabulary take out a list of those and show them.
The last paragraph is very kind of weak. Do u consider the author just writes to say why he writes? or maybe he is defining why a writer writes?
Finally, I think u should include in the introduction what an academic text is or is not.
