While I was at school, the only approaches I had to writing were those where I had to write some homework, dictations and take notes in class.
After having finished high school, I started writing at home, on a notebook, because some images came to my mind and I felt like I needed to become them into words, so I just let them flow through writing. I wrote about love, sadness, loneliness, whatever came to my mind. Most of the things I wrote were poems and sometimes short stories. Actually, I just wrote for pleasure, just to let every feeling flow, every image that came to me or any situation or moment I was living.
Then, when I entered the university I can say I stopped my creative writing production because as professors asked me to write about the topics we were studying at college. Now, I feel like I’m forgetting about creative writing or at least I don’t feel like before but it is because I don’t usually think of this imaginary world because I have to think of academic writing.
It is too bad when you say that you are forgetting about creative writing because of academic writing since I’ve read some texts written by you and I have to say I really like them (especially those you wrote to me) he he.
ReplyDeleteI think your text is very well written, but the only thing I would change it would be the part “become them into words” “, for “put them in words”.
That’s all
See you!
